Late in 2004 four friends with a deep rooted passion for music formed Slowfall. They started as most bands do, playing covers until they discovered the true joy of original music. With strong song writing, dynamic vocals, solid guitar riffs and a hard driving rhythm section, Slowfall created pure magic. Now a year and a half later, Slowfall has become one of the premier rock bands in the St Louis area. Ben, Matt, Kevin and Alex use an incredible work ethic along with super talent to make each song push the limits of the previous song. The genre is hard to pin down. Slowfall likes to call it straight out rock and roll with attitude. The bands future is looking bright. They signed with All American Music Management in June 2006 and the first CD is set for a February release. Slowfall hopes to share their music with the world while having the most fun they can while they can.

I've been playing music since I was a kid and just became a full-time player last year. It's really going well, I love being challenged with different live settings and it's super interesting to me to see which tunes people really dig and which ones just float on by. I've got a bit of a jazz influence, having studied it in college, but really go for more of the singer/songwriter vibe with dynamic vocals and thoughtful lyrics. I get a little bluesy sometimes, too, but do my best to keep it straight and simple and let the songs (and the vocals!) speak for themselves. I love playing solo shows, accompanying myself on piano, which continues to challenge me.- Leslie Sanazaro
